ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Specialist in Data Analysis for an upcoming Service Learning Corps Volunteer Assignment. ACDI/VOCA's Market Driven Rural Development Activity is a five-year project that will facilitate investment in the development of several clusters of related value chains. The Activity will work with existing value chains to improve their productivity through greater organization and efficiency, resulting in Improved service delivery to smallholder farmers and formalized and strengthened market channels for crops/products with inclusive benefits.
They are requesting a Service-Learning Corps Volunteer to help develop data analysis and visualization dashboard templates for market-system actor decision making. The selected volunteer will work with Monitoring and Evaluation team members to conduct secondary and primary research including interviewing market system actors about different example dashboard models, the cost-benefit of gathering various indicators and the ease of comprehension of various means of presenting the data. The resulting dashboard template packages will be developed for different types of actors, with different sets of characteristics.
This assignment will last for approximately 3 months and will be completed remotely. Students who have travel funding available to them through their school can be accommodated in country, if desired.
ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking an Impact Investment Specialist for an upcoming Service Learning Corps Volunteer Assignment in Ghana. AV Ventures requests a Service-Learning Corps Volunteer to help map potential climate-financing stakeholders, resources and platforms that could be linked to businesses in ACDI/VOCA's focal developing market systems. The selected volunteer will then assist AV Ventures staff in using this information to create tailored funding proposals for interested stakeholders (investment funds, foundateions, corporations) that have been identified and prioritized. The volunteer will assist in the co-creation of climate-smart approaches at the impact investing fund and portfolio company level, in several geographies and measuring climate impacts.

ACDI/VOCA's Market Driven Rural Development Project is a five-year activity that will accelerate Tajikistan’s agriculture sector growth to enable inclusive access to economic opportunities in rural communities. They are requesting a Service-Learning Corps Volunteer to facilitate an applied workshop on geospatial analysis for informing development project learning and evidence- based decision making. The selected SLC volunteer would then work with Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning staff in utilizing geospatial analysis for specific objectives that would inform project implementation.

ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Specialist in Communications for an upcoming Service Learning Corps Assignment in Bangladesh. ACDI/VOCA’s Feed the Future Livestock and Nutrition Activity requests a Service-Learning Corps Volunteer to coordinate and collaborate with the LAN project staff, Learning and Adaptation (CLA) team and Communications Manager, Technical Team Leads, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team, and the home office team to conceptualize and develop methodologies to further develop the communication agenda and operationalize it by producing story ideas for videos, success stories, and other appropriate communication products that effectively communicates LAN results. The selected SLC volunteer will review project documents, contribute to various LAN reports, participate in meetings, engage, and participate in stakeholder forums to identify and operationalize communication needs. This assignment will last for approximately 3 months.

ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Potato Specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in Kyrgyzstan. As potato is the second most important food in Kyrgyzstan, local farmers are requesting volunteer assistance to improve potato seed production and develop a monitoring methodology for seed potatos. This assignment will take place remotely from the US over 3 weeks, on a part-time basis. The selected volunteer will work with a local volunteer to provide trainings.

ACDI/VOCA is seeking a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Specialist for an upcoming volunteer assignment in the Republic of Georgia. A local food service provider is requesting volunteer assistance to learn current practices and receive training on food safety regulations. They are interested in designing a HACCP and Food Safety Plan for their business by the end of the assignment. The selected volunteer will review current food management practices and make recommendations for improvement. The US based volunteer will collaborate with a local volunteer to provide training on this topic.
This assignment will take place remotely and will last for approximately 3 weeks.

ACDI/VOCA’s Laos Microenterprise Activity is requesting volunteer assistance to provide training on how to set indicators to measure both output and outcomes, carry out surveys to collect data, simple analysis of data and reporting out. The assignment will last for approximately four weeks in country, in addition to preparation prior to departure. Travel and living expenses will be provided.
ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Veterinarian for an upcoming volunteer assignment in the Republic of Georgia. Local extension providers recently acquired new ultrasound machines and are requesting volunteer assistance to learn more about utilizing ultrasound equipment for cattle and small animals. The selected volunteer will train local farm veterinarians on issues such as the use of portable ultrasound equipment and provide trainings on common inspection methods for cows.
The assignment will last for approximately 2-3 weeks in country, in addition to preparation and research previous to departure. Travel and living expenses will be provided.

This assignment will take place remotely over two months on a part-time basis.
